Haverstraw Bay, NY

"Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference"
Winston Churchill

We are anchored in Haverstraw Bay and can see the lights from New York City. Even though it is getting colder we are all keeping a positive attitude.
Along our trip today we saw a little of the aftermath from Hurricane Sandy. Tomorrow we plan to call the US Coast Guard to find out the status of the inlets along the New Jersey coast.
We came into the anchorage after dark and it was somewhat tense knowing there was debris in the water but we made it in.

  1. You just sailed past my sister's house! She lives overlooking the Hudson on croton-on-Hudson!!! I'm so glad you made it through Sandy ok. It's great to follow your adventures. Take care. Eileen and John.
